It's a beautiful day to be outdoors, despite the heavy overcast conditions with 100% cloud cover. The temperature is already at 15C, which is expected to be the maximum for the day, and it's feeling quite mild and calm.\n\nThe ocean conditions are looking pretty exciting for the expert surfers out there, with wave heights reaching 2.32 metres, which is well overhead. The water temperature is a comfortable 20.1C, so you'll probably want to wear a spring suit or rashie to stay warm. We've just had high tide at 05:13 am, with a height of 1.2 metres, and low tide is expected at 11:16 am, with a height of -1.6 metres.\n\nIf you're planning on getting out and about today, the conditions are looking great for running and cycling, with light winds of 6 km/h from the west, gusting up to 11 km/h. Surfers will need to be careful of the complex rip systems, but the high-energy surf will be a thrill for experts. Anglers and paddleboarders will also find the conditions suitable, with the calm waters and light winds making it easier to get out and enjoy the ocean. \n\nAs we head into the afternoon, the heavy overcast is expected to remain, but with no chance of rain, so you can plan your day with confidence. With low UV levels, you won't need to worry about special protection, but it's always a good idea to slip, slop, slap. We hope you have a fantastic day enjoying the beautiful coastal scenery and activities, and we'll catch you back here tomorrow with another update.","ai_headline":null,"ai_safety":null,"live_updates":"","alert_box":"{\"level\":\"Orange Alert\",\"level_code\":\"orange\",\"type\":\"Marine Wind Warning, Hazardous Surf Warning, High Surf Advisory\",\"message\":\"ACTIVE Orange Alert - Marine Wind Warning, Hazardous Surf Warning, High Surf Advisory\",\"headline\":\"Marine Wind Warning, Hazardous Surf Warning, High Surf Advisory\",\"safety_message\":\"Marine wind warning in effect.
